The most amazing thing happened last night! I know call me crazy here, but to me it's simply amazing.... Do you know what it was???? Have any ideas??? I'll just say this much, I've now officially lost 316 pounds!! So what does it mean? It means I'm under 300 pounds, 299 to be exact, the first time in YEARS. I was 297 pounds at age 14! It's been basically 14 years since I've been this size. When my scale talked back to me, I wanted to scream. It's really the most unbelievable thing. When someone told me many months ago that I would have lost this much weight, I told them it would never happen for me. It has and I am truly happy each day I chose to have this surgery. It saddens me to see anyone go through any complications of this surgery, but my point of life (no life) I was willing to take any complication or death to improve my life and boy am I ever happy I did. I can walk! I can clean! I can work! I can drive! I'm living.... Now with all this gone, I can forsee my goals. I always had a number in my mind, but it seemed impossible, now I know I can do it! Love you guys, Amy (on top of the world) 615/299/Healthy (-316 lbs)

There are some numbers that are really staggering - and losing 316 # from ONE person is one of those numbers. Saying stuff like congratulations or wtg just doesn't seem to cut it lol. So, how about OMG?! lol Kia 284/195/155

NOPE, can't believe it! I remember when you had all your trouble trying to get approved for your surgery and most of us on the board were praying for you. It was JUST yesterday, sooooo....nope, can't believe you've lost over half your body weight in that short amt. of time. So whns the picture to PROVE your claim? (you know I'm happy for you right?) By the way.....how's your hubby doing on his journey? He's not the talker in your relationship is he?

Amy, The first time I saw your show on MTV I was inspired by you. The first time I met you I was in awe of you. As I've enjoyed seeing all you do and reading all your posts I'm over joyed at how much this has brought "YOU" to life. To say I'm happy for you would be an understatement. You have done a truly amazing job using your tool to the best of your ability. I'm happy/amazed/proud/over joyed/excited/(insert more adjectives here....) for you! You are truly representative that this surgery DOES save lives! Not only does it saves lives - it gives NEW LIFE!!!! WAY TO GO AMY!!! Much Dee Dee

I am so happy for you. I hope that you and Kenneth are doing well. Since I haven't been able to be on the board much lately I have missed you. You are still an inspiration to so many and give so much. Hugs and prayers, Theresa
