Post-Op Question about food??
I am 3 months post op & I'm not sure if I am getting in enough food, can some of you tell me what you are eating. And when it's time to eat I just can't find anything that satisifies me. Am I crazy or what??? Here lately I am living off turkey chili & my protein drinks. I am losing slow so I am wondering if I am getting in enough protein. I am exercising though, go to Curves 3x a week & walk 5 nights a week 3 miles. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Try putting your food intake into fitday.com. It will add up the protein, calories, etc. Make sure you are getting ENOUGH calories. At your stage, probably anywhere from 700-1000 a day. If you aren't eating enough calories, then your body goes into starvation mode and hangs on to everything it can.
Your exercise sounds great - more than I do!! So, give fitday a try and see if that helps. If that doesn't give you the answer, check with your nutritionist.

I am having the same issues but honestly I think I am pysching myself out when it comes to food. Sometimes when I THINK about trying something new I get nausous (spelling?) before I even try it. I cannot eat so many things that I find myself living off of the old standards like Wendy's chili and baked potatoes, grits, etc....I pray to God that it gets better the longer you are post-op but right now I would give ANYTHING for something solid to eat *lol*. I know that I am not getting enough protein but I don't know what else to do since most of the food high in protein makes me
. Hopefully things will get better SOON!!! Good luck to you!!
