Well I just hung up with the insurance company and now they are wanting all the office notes from when I just finished my 6 months dietician and pcp monitored plan. They did not ask for this earlier, is this a stall tactic or normal I WILL NOT GIVE UP!! I am just alittle frustrated. Thanks for the calming advice.

My insurance, First Health also required written notes from my PCP regarding the physician supervised diet. My problem was, that even though my PCP saw me and weighed me, and we discussed diet and excercise for 6 months, he never wrote notes to this affect on my chart. We had nothing... but lucky for me, what notes he did write, and the notes from my Curahee Disease Mgmt Case Manager, we had enough to satisfy the insurance company. I was seriously panicing too, cause my insurance company said they would no longer cover the surgery after Jan 1st, so it was a rush for me to get approval. I don't necessarily think it is a stall tactic, just a requirement of theirs... Susan
