Hi, my name is cara and im 25 weighing 235. I found this board after reading an article in True Romance about a girl who had the surgery and lost a bunch of weight. Im looking for someone in the augsuta area who is willing to talk with me about the surgery possibly become friends and would help me check things out as i start the journey. thanks.

(Mine is like care) I had surgery Febuary of this year so I still consider myself fairly new. I had my surgery Feb 22, 2005. My doctor was Dr. Stephen Gooden in Augusta. I would highly recommend him. I think he done a great job.

I live in Grovetown, and I went to Dr. Adrales at MCG. and I dont recommend her... If you are interested in meeting others and getting info. on different surgeons, feel free to come to the support group meetings. I can email you information if you want! Nice to meet'cha! Kathy

hey everyone thanks for the replies. I pronounce my name the same as you do. Ca-ra. i get car-a all the time though. i talked to my dr on friday and she wont recommend me for the surgery. I saw the info for the support group in evans but by the time i get home i wouldn't make it back. Evans is almost an hour from my home in beech island. Thanks for the offer though and i would still like to talk to some of yall. If anything to find out tips on weight loss thanks.
