I got a date:) Long...
Well I went to my pre-preop with Dr. Duncan yesterday and I got a date. August 22, 2005. I am so excited but yet so scared. I have been so nervous since then. I got so mad yesterday too though. I ended up meeting with his PA from the OR and first she tells me that they don't have all of my stuff. I got real bummed quickly
I am saying to myself if you all didn't have everything then they would have never sent off for approval Then she goes on to tell me that I still need to lose more weight even though I have lost DOUBLE what I was told I had to lose in the beginning, and needed to start a weight management session with Dr. Fields in Atlanta 2 hours away from home
I understood where she was coming from though, but she needed to understand where I was coming from So after talking with Yakima, my stuff was actually in the folder and after talking to Dr. Fields I have done well with my weight loss and do not need sessions with her. The girl I saw still said from her standpoint in OR I needed to lose at least 5 or 10 more pounds so I will try to get those few off. But by the time I was in to make my appointment my blood pressure was up Anyway I have a date I am scared but I need this so much

Congrats Nalani , that is great news, I'm doing the happy 
for ya. I wouldn't worry if the extra 5 or 10 didn't come off, because Dr. Fields knows you lost double what you were suppose to, but if you do lose it then great. I am also a Dr. Duncan patient, I'm actually getting my testing in line now before sending to the Insurance. Best of luck!

Congratulations to you. I know how you feel. My pre-pre-op appt. with Duncan's group is tomorrow. I'm so nervous. I haven't lost the 20 pounds I needed to lose at all...I'm doing good if I have lost 10. I will die if they tell me to lose 5-10 more than 20. I'm on the verge of tears here. I know I should just wait and see what they say to me. My husband lost 20 of the 30, and Dr. Fields praised him and said he was doing very well. I'm hoping that happens for me too. Also, I HAVE to have a surgery date in August. Our insurance is changing in September, and I don't know if it will be covered or not.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! I just got my approval letter and emailed it to the insurance cordinator yesterday. Now I am waiting on my date for my pre-op. I am so glad that with everything you have gone through, that its finally coming true for you! I pray that your surgery goes as plan! and smoothly!
