Okay guys....you KNOW I am an exercise queen....but I want to know what everyone else is doing with their exercises. I can give you my daily routine.....but I always throw in more than what the "routine" seems to have. Monday: "Hour of Power" Group Power lifting class (Weight lifting) Group Kick - Hour of Kick boxing for cardio Tuesday: Group Kick Wednesday - DAY OFF!!!! Thursday Group Power lifting Group Kick Friday - Day OFF Saturday Group Power Either half hour on Elliptical or tread mill On the days I do the Power class I also will work and additional half hour of upper or lower body work in plus every day I go to the gym I do an extra set of abs on the machine. Come one - Tell me what you do!!! Exercise is an important part of our lifestyle. Even if you can only walk in short intervals - it counts as part of your exercise!!!! If you don't exercise.....Tell me what you need to get you motivated!!!!

I go to CURVES 4 X a week for 30 minutes each visit, and on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday I go to the track with some friends & we walk. I started out with 1 mile & now I do 12 laps everynight which is 3 miles. I feel so much better after I walk & sleep so good. Any suggestions of anything else i should be doing Dee Dee? Tammy

Walking is one of the BEST exercises you can do! It benefits both with Cardio exercise and with upping the metabolism rate by using some of the larger muscle groups in your legs! If you want to add hand weights to add more upper body in you can - but with walking I wouldn't add more than one pound hand weights to start with. You can do upper body things while you walk by doing over head raises or bicep curls and tricep push backs. You'll notice even with out weights if you do this that it will increase your cardiac rate signifigantly! (Try doing this one day during a walk and let me know if you feel the difference!!) If you want to increase by one pound weights a month you should feel free (I wouldn't increase the weights more than once a month - preferably every 6 weeks) - but I wouldn't recommend walking with anything more than 5 lb hand weights at ANY given time. By the way.....you don't even have to use weights. You can use cans of soup from your cabinet. You'd be surprised the different ways you can exercise WITHOUT having to go to the expense of exercise equiptment or going to a gym!!! You DON'T have to do anything more than what you're doing - but I know for me I have to keep adding to my "routine" to feel challanged!!!
