leg cramps?!?!?!
Before surgery I would have leg cramps maybe once a month or every two months, or I could go forever and not have one. Since surgery, I have been experiencing them at least once a week. But last night was a first...I had two, yes, two leg cramp episodes. Lately they seem to be deep in my leg. Anyone got any ideas?? Is it that I am not getting enough water?

I was having leg cramps when I was an early post-op... mine was from low potassium. I was told to eat atleast 2 bananas per day... back them I could do well to get in a half on one banana per day.... the doctor said we would monitor my potassium, and if if kept on being low, he would put me on potassium... it finally went away, and we never had to do anything further. Before surgery I had to take quinine every night for leg cramps that were so severe every night... I would cry for hours.... that all seems to be resolved now as well....

Just an update...I did call my doctors office this morning, and the nurse said that it could be from low protein, low potassium, low magnesium, or not enough water. She talked with the doctor, and he suggested that I have blood work done....so off to Emory Dunwoody outpatient lab for that. Hopefully, I will hear back from the nurse tomorrow.
