Laura, You are NOT alone in this I can eat a ton...well, not a ton, but much more compared to others. IT also depends what I eat, obviously, meat fills me up much easier. I am seeing a sports nutritionist now to get my eating right for my marathon. She wants me eating 2000 calories a day. That's a lot compared to our 800-1200 peeps here. I sometimes can reach that, sometimes I eat less, sometimes I can get in more. I'm sure my pouch stretched a little since I'm 18 months out, and I too am on my last chunk of pounds to lose. It's sooo hard, even with all the exercise I do. Big hugs to you! Sherry

Laura, I can eat ALOT more now, then what I could before... It also depends on what I am eating...Salad I can eat alot of, meat, pasta, not so much. If you are getting down to those last pounds, the weight loss will slow down to a crawl..Also, you may not get down to your "goal weight" I got to about 8lbs from my docs goal, and he told me that I problably was done losing as my body found it's comfort spot. I did end up losing about 4 more lbs after that, but this is it for me. The one thing that I have continued to do, is to make protein my priority. Protein will make up most of my meals, and whatever else I have room for comes second. I still do not drink with my meals, and I have made the personal decision to not drink any alcohol. From the postings that I have read on the main board, those who are starting to gain back, or have stopped losing, have either forgotten about the protein, or have added alcohol into their diet. That's not to say that I will never drink again, I had about 1/3 of a mixed drink for my anniversery, but that was the first I had in almost 2 years. Good luck, and just go back to basics..If you are truly worried maybe about your pouch size, see your doc... Cathy Martin

OH YEAH!! I can eat LOTS more!! And whats more, the sucky thing is, I can eat WAY more BAD things for me (carbs...chips, etc) than I can the GOOD things for me (proteins...chicken, beef, etc) It is tough!! It means that I can NOT purchase any chips, etc...cuz they cannot be in my house!! AND..those cruddy foods are the ones turning these last pounds into SUPER GLUE!!! They WILL NOT LEAVE my body!!! It's hard since no one did bypass on our brains, but I have to keep reminding myself that I DO NOT WANT to live the way I used to! Hang in there girlie, and come yak with us whenever you need help!! WE LOVE & MISS YOU!!!! Tami

Geez....and I thought *I* was the only one that could eat as much as I do!I tell my husband all the time.."I think I can eat TOO much!" It truly is nice to be able to hear that most of the time we're not alone in the dilemmas we face. I continue to make wrong choices, and yep, Tami, I wish they COULD have done something to our brains! *sigh* I am one of the ones that can eat sweets much of the time without getting sick. I had a WHOLE candybar yesterday!! A....complete.....whole....candy bar. How absurd for me to buy them! I know better. Of late, I have had much trouble eating my protein first. I'm more back in the mode of grabbing something quick to carry to work, it might be a carb bar or popcorn...NOT a good choice! Some days I do better, other days not.....but down deep, I know I am hindering my weight loss. I only have about 6 months left in the "window" we're allowed, as my year anniversary is August 9th. I hope we can all come to terms with this and do the right thing. Let's just pray for each other and try harder.
