What type of surgery did you have?

I haven't been around in months...that whole life thing has gotten in the way, but I was curious what type of surgery each of you have had and how you would rate your over all experience.  I have several people at work that have had surgery and several friends/family as well and was just curious if everyone here came back with the same type of ratings. I'm scheduled for surgery on 10/30, but won't say which one as of yet :)

Hi Kerry, I had the Rouen - Y - Gastric Bypass Surgery. I had a wonderful doc and he is Dr. Larry Hobson. I had my surgery July 9, 2007 and as of today I am doing GREAT!!! I feel so good every day and life is getting so much better for me. I hope you will decide to come on over to the loosers bench soon. We have a seat saved for you. Hey Kerry,   You have given me a big smile today.  I had the RNY in March of this year and would do it again in a heartbeat. The reason for my smile... right under your picture it has your surgery type.  So much for not telling.  LOL  Good luck with you and keep us informed.

Hi,  I am 3 weeks out from RNY surgery at Emory Johns Creek.  Everything is great as i have not had any problems except for low energy level and it is getting better every day.

Sherri and I had our surgery just hours apart...at the same hospital.  Same procedure by the same doctor. I feel GREAT!  Still learning to CHEW CHEW CHEW Hey Sherri!!  Great to 'see' you! Susan

I had Laproscopic RNY surgery on the 8th of June.  It took a few weeks for everything to settle in, but I am doing well.  I had the surgery on Friday the 8th, went home on Monday the 11th and came back to work on Monday the 18th for 1/2 days.   I can honestly say that the most difficult part of having the surgery is not the actual surgery part, it's the first few weeks afterward, but I would do it again in a minute. Take care, hope you do well after your procedure. Ingrid
