I want to thank everyone for posting some very helpful information for me. I took the advice and contacted Dr. Titus Duncan and I am scheduled to have my first meeting on the 29th of this month at the Atlanta Medical Center. I will keep you guys posted as I take this journey. I am thankful to God that there are people like you who are willing and anxious to hold my hand and suppot me through this. I am excited about this first step. Thank you to everyone.

I have been researching surgeons as well, and according to all the post I've read so far (including yours)...I was thinking about contacting Dr. Duncan's office too. I'm sort of new to this as getting the process started. I have an appointment w/ me PCP this week and I have signed up for a seminar class regarding the lap band. I didn't know exactly which to do first so I scheduled the PCP appt and the seminar within days from each other. Good luck to you.

ok first of all I want to say ... you will love that office of people.. but so you know going in .. dr duncan is doing plastics now .. he trained his team .. i personally used Larry Hobson .. I LOVE THAT MAN >.> he is so sweet and you will find him very easy to talk to... GL and keep us posted.. Tammie

DITTO and KUDOS to you Faithh for the Dr Hobson comment !!!! WOW I could not believe how he is so SWEET and took the time to explain everything to me. Most docs will hurry in and hurry out and most are not nice at all but this one is an angel. I tell him everytime that he is an answer to my prayers because he literally saved my life. I was dying, a very slow death.....and it would not have been long if Dr Hobson had not got to me first. Now I am almost back to the real me.....I am still loosing and have had NO problems.....all I can say is that GOD was in the operating room that day and was using Dr Hobson to do my surgery.....I am so happy for the fact that I have a wonderful person as a surgeon......I am so happy here haha.......lol.....sorry but I am still excited.....hehehe........Renee
