Hotel is full..ideas on hotel ??

The hotel where the meeings are is full. They did say there is a Hampton Inn not far away. Was thinking might be better to stay close to the  Meet and greet Friday and then just drive to meetings on Saturday morning. So question is ..does anyone know of a good Hotel near the Joe's crab shack in Duluth.  Thanks, Phyllis

I recently checked and the Wingate rate is now $62.10 - $69.00 per night depend on what discount you may choose. On the Alabama Board, some are staying at a Hampton Inn too. But it's suggested also to keep checking with the Hilton for cancellations too. The Wingate is 15 minutes from Joe's Crab Shack & 8/10 of a mile from the Hilton. Mike

I am still debating. Hampton Inn at Norcross is a suggestion the hotel made when they said they didnt have any more rooms. Hampton is 69 a night which is a great price. I just want to find out how far that hotel is from joes for the meet and greet. But that is probably where I am going to make reservations. I am only going to stay one night and go to my son's house for Saturday night. How are you doing..having seen you lately. When are you leaving to go up ..maybe we can follow each other if possible. I think I'm going to go with Wingate.(about the same price) Thats close to the Hilton. I think the meet and greet friday is like 10 miles away. Rather be close to the conference than the meet and greet. I will be leaving Friday morning sometime. Are you going alone or with hubby??? Betsy

Going alone..how about you...are you staying 2 nights. I'm still trying to figure out what I am doing bout traveling..would love to just fly but after I get there then would have to take the marta or rent a car which if I rent a car then I might has well drive. My son lives in Monroe and if I drive then I will spend saturday night with them but if I fly then I will come back home saturday night..confusing isnt it LOL Phyllis

Hey Betsy! Haven't heard from you in a while.  I was looking for info on the things happening in Brunswick and someone was kind enough to send me the info.  SO how are you? You probably don't remember me.  Barb and I sat outside our rooms with you, Pat. Jeanne (and I can't remember the gentleman's name) but we had a nice chat in Orlando.   I'm in Jacksonville.  Trying to figure out if I want to go to my cousins in Douglasville Friday night or get a room someplace.  I know I'll go to Douglasville Sat night.  I plan to spend a few days with my sweet cousin.  My directions say Douglasville is about 50 miles from the meet & greet.    I'm not at all familiar with the area.   Anyway good to talk to ya and It will be great to see you again!  Have a safe drive!
