MEDICAID/ PEACHSTATE
....no date yet.. just approval.. we didnt exspect to get the approval so my DH had planned us a trip to the grand canyon to take my mind off of it.... he is such a sweetheart.... yes i am so excited... is it bad i wish he hadnt made these plans ???

Sorry. Here I was jumpig the gun for you. As you may have heard me tell someone else here a few days ago... you have to keep on the office now that you are approved. If you haven't heard back from them in a week call them and ask. Then call every day or two until they set up your final appointments.
It would be helpful if you would update your account so that everyone knows that you are using Duncan's office. To do that just click on "my account" at the top right of your screen. Then fill in anything you think might be helpful. I forget to go into it once in a while to update things myself.
Have a great time on your trip. We want to see pictures and hear all about it.

Don't wish he hadn't made these plans. Go and enjoy yourself and takes lots of pictures. Then as soon as you get back tell him he will have totake you again next year so you can have before and after pictures and know what you were really missing. I would keep a journal during the first trip of all the emotions you feel and the things you found you and couldn't do. I bet it would be terrific for the self esteem. I can see it now... everyone will be wanting to take trips before and after. LOL

thanks everyone.. and he already said we were going back next year alone :) we have 4 boys between us .. they are great kids and all so supportive of ole mom here ...
i am thankful he wanted to take this trip now that i am calming down i think this is a great time to take this trip

hi cong, on your approvel. my name is lavell and i have wellcare as well. i had my surgery on april 4th. i got app. on feb,26 and like the other lady said make sure you call every other day. cause me and a nother lady had some problems afther we got app. i did not get a date until march. after i had to keep calling geting the run around. also jolenn she is from covinton ga, we both had some problems with getting a date. from what i was told it was because wellcare was not paying on time. but long story short. they was giving the dates to the ones that had other inc. com frist and peach state. so if you don't get a date with in a week. call and ask to speak to shoanna i think i got her name right cause you will get the run aroung from jackie. if she keep telling you the nure got your file she is giving you the run around. i don't want to see any one go threw what i went threw to get this surgery afther get app. so keep use posted and let use know when you get those dates. go to my page and read what i went threw and how long it took for me to get those dates. it took almost two months. and from what i was told we supose to get a date with in five to 10 days..... good luck and i pray you don't have to go threw what we went threw!!!! also just to show you why i say what i said about the run around me and my girl friend got app on the same day and she got her date the following friday. and i got mines two months afther she had her surgery!!!!! so what ever you do don't wait on them call, call , call................. god bless you on your up coming surgery.
Does anyone know if the transportation part of Peach State will pay to take you to all the docs you have to go to for the surgery? I dont have a way to get to all the doctors that will take peach state that nicole told me about and that would be my only hope for getting this done. Please let me know if you know anything about this....thanks
