miami heart/mount sinai
No, but I had the surgical group US Bariatric. Is that who you are using?
I can't say enough great things about them. I'm sure they have complete confidence in the hospital and staff at Miami Heart or else they wouldn't use them. My surgery was 12/15/03 at Holy Cross in Fort Lauderdale. Although I haven't been in a couple of months I try to go to the support meetings at Miami Heart. Good luck. LuvitsunnyV

Hi William...I just had surgery at the Mount Sinai Miami Heart Inst last wed (8/25). The hospital is the best I have ever seen. I have absolutely no complaints, for a while I even thought I was in a hotel. Almost all the rooms are private, with a beautilful view of miami beach, the nurses are excellent, other employees excellent, they have extended basic cable, everyone is so sweet and caring, and you can tell they deal with alot of bariatric patients. If you have any questions, email me. I also used US Bariatric, I had Dr. David Diaz do my surgery. I originally was using Dr. Marema, but I changed to DR. Diaz so that I can have my surgery sooner, and that was the best decision I ever made. I hope this helps, email me if anything...lots of hugs, Mady
Mady:
thnx for your email! actually i was wondering how your surgery went. was it what you expected, as far as pain and discomfort? how long did you stay at the hospital?
i am currently in the initial phase. i have my PFT and psyc. test next week. i am now waiting for the nurses assesment call.
any advise in this phase?
Hope you are feeling better!
