Thank you for the advice! I'm hoping that I'll be able to get a walk in today, I don't think I'll be able to run at any point. I did have physical therapy this morning.
It's going to be 20-30 degrees tomorrow. EEEEK. I feel so unprepared.

Wishing you all the best on the race. You will do it and just remember if you start to get tired don't start to lean stay straight this way you can get the air in that you need. one other advice you can take or leave. do a 15 minute run on friday if can. not fast just nice and easy

Probably doing an even harder one in May. Also signed up for a 24 hour race in June.

Way to go. I am so happy for you. You have worked so hard to do a 50 and I am glad that you finally did it. now would you do it again

Ask your surgeon. I was only allowed to walk for 6 weeks post-op. And with the stressss biking puts on your core, I'd say it's unlikely before that.

Since my son shamed me with my inability to do one standard push up, I should add it to my list. It was funny though. I was down in a lovely plank position and tried to push up. I didn't budge. I looked at my arms like they were strangers. I pushed up again and again there was no movement.
Goal is to do one standard pushup by the first day of summer.
After meeting at school for the little one I can't go to the gym during work so I guess I'll throw something on the TV to get a sweat going today. I am feeling tons better after working out at least 5 days out of the 7 day week. So what's on tap this week???

I was cleared for all exercise after 4 weeks. Until then, I was told only walking and very light weights. Al lot of people are told nothing but walking for 6 weeks. Best to ask your surgeon.
