New and a few question!

Hi everyone, I'm new to this board. I'm 3 weeks post op from RnY. I started walking right after surgery, but ended up taking almost a week off due to a pulled oblique that had me in tears just to walk. I'm feeling much better now and I'm only sore. I started back at the gym on Friday and I'm so happy about it! I feel so much better when I go even if I can't do a whole lot, I started off doing a mile (30mins) on the treadmil. I thenm discovered the bike and I like it too minus the fact I don't seem to burn as much on that. Before surgery I liked the Eliptical, but someone told me to lay off it a bit after surgery because it can be rougher on the abdomen. So I have. Do you think it would be okay to start back up with it? I just feel like it does more for my legs and butt. Lol My husband is in the Army and about to deploy to Afghanistan. My goal for when he gets back is to be able to go for a run with him at his pace. I guess I'm just looking for some suggestions. I'm really looking forward to hanging out around here and getting to know you all!

Congrats on your recent surgery! Like Dan said I'd check with the Dr. before switching anything up, but sounds like you are doing great! Welcome to the board!
