Compression Garment?

One of my New Year's resolutions is to run a 5K, but I have an issue with saggy skin that flaps when I workout, is there any kind of garment that I would be able to get what would help?

I was thinking something like UnderAmour would help, but I need something for my thighs and something for the abs. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks,
Victoria

Under Armor is great but some of the less expensive stuff works just as well.  What I wear is the compression underware and it really keeps my jiggly thies from starting a fire.  I have experimented with compression shirts but have not found as good a benefit as I would like.  I just tuck in my regular running shirt and let my gut flop freely.  Over the past few years the options for compression garments has really increased.

They make pants out of this stuff too.
If you have a big issue with the skin, you can get it 1 size smaller, it will really hold things in place.

Like Scott said, you can get it from Walmart as well.  It's much less expensive.

It works real well.

And as compression undergarments go, which I say ditto to whats been said previously, and being a Walmart kinda guy,....women have a whole lot more array of options in the body shaping, compression undergarment selection of under-garments than men do.

Do not be afraid.  Experiment to find what works for you.  Just don't buy more than one of something until you field test it,... as something too tight may affect your ability to move comfortably or your breathing.

I use the thigh length undershorts and a shirt that has at least short sleeves to keep the bat flaps from slapping.  I have used compression shirts underneath a lesser outer shirt but only on cooler to cold days.  The long sleeve ones are good for warmth as well as flab control.

Good luck and don't be too concerned about appearance as you are about getting out there,... as you will have a metamorphasis as you tone and lose.  It is a wonderful and beautiful transistion to experience.

I use UnderArmour because it's the cheapest. I have their shorts for $25 and a bunch of tops with built-in bras and without that were under $50.

I tried using Assets and other shapewear but they didn't breath enough and I was too sweaty.

I am not a runner and just found this forum - but my two cents are - try Spanx.  I am 6 weeks out from a Tummy tuck and have been wearing them instead of the surgical compression garment.  I walk on the treadmill at a pretty good incline and work up a sweat and they don't even budge.  Not sure how they would do will running but might work for you.  The one I wear goes from my thighs to right below my bra.

I've got some UnderArmour stuff that I love - the compression shorts & a v-neck tank. I've also had lots of luck at TJ Maxx and Marshalls - you can get UnderArmour brand, Nike, ClimaCool, etc... for pretty decent prices.

I got a tank with a built in sports bra from Marshalls - it's a ClimaCool (I can't really read the label anymore, that's more of a guess) and I LOVE IT!!! It's super long so I can tuck it into my compression shorts & it sucks me all in and keeps me from jiggling so much.

I recently picked up some full length running tights/spandex at Target - they're Champion - and they've got the compression (yay) and they keep me wicked warm outside when it's in the single digits!
