Far off?
Hello Fitness Folks,
I'm almost 5 months out and I've recently started exercising. Treadmill (jogging/walking), stationary bike and swimming.
I used to be an athlete in HS and college, and always had someone telling me what to do, so I was wondering where y'all started after surgery?
I've begun the couch to 5K, but I want to find other things to do (and my crap gym has no classes) any ideas for me?
I really appreciate it!! I've been lurking for a while and everyone is so inspirational- so thanks in advance!

I pretty much just run but I break it up by altering my running routes and routines and speed. Three or four of my runs each week are at a pace that gets my HR up but is certainly not a killer. I will usually do one long run that is pretty slow and then I will do some speed work either on a track or at a course I have marked out near my house. There are also hill days, tempo runs and trail runs. That really keeps running fresh for me.
Next spring, I plan on resuming my throwing career. To all my running I will add more weight training and plyometrics, including many different jumps, box drills and stair running.
At the gym, I love the stair climber and rowing machine. Both break up the workouts.
