Cycling Cadence?

What is the desirable cadence or rpm while cycling.  Right now I tend to like 90 rpm but don't know if that is good or not.

Thanks,

Duane

85-95 is solid. Keep up the great work...

It also depends on what gear you are pushing, and what you are trying to accomplish.

Most of the time in in that 90 rpm rate if I am just pedaling without a goal.  But there are exercises where you will throw in sprints, where you might be really trying to spin your legs out at around 120 or so, and some where you will gear up and just be grinding, but at a much slower pace.

Good luck,

Scott
