Scott,

I think with your goals for 2010, you'll reach 1,000 miles.   For me, the key was still hanging on to those 10-milers on the weekend even when I wasn't training for an event.  I meet friends almost every Sunday morning for a long run.

I was afraid I was going to come up short  with the hamstring.  But, I had 868 miles banked by my third marathon in September.

unplanned rest day (family stuff)... now have to make it up tonight with an unplanned and late gym workout that can't start until 7 or 8 pm, bummer.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

Hi Cassie,

Congratulations on meeting your running goal.  Very impressive!

You guys will see a lot more of me around here for now on.  I just signed up for the Pasadena Half (February 2010) and the L.A. Marathon (March 2010).    I have to do Pasadena because I did the inaugural run and I want to be in the Legacy Circle.
For L.A. , I am trying to challange myself to get back in shape and set a new goal in my life.

You would be proud of me.  Last night, after much partying on the job, I came home, changed into my running gear and ran for 30 mins.  I almost forgot to mention that I started my run at 11:30 at night.  Time is not on my side, so I have to do what I can so that I can be trained up for these two races.

Wow Kim!  Running at 11:30 at night definitely demonstrates your commitment to your upcoming races. The Legacy Circle is a great incentive to come back year after year.

Glad to see you back!

Cassie, thanks for the info.  I think that's a pretty neat idea and a great motivator.  Is this the first year that you'll have ran 1000 miles?
