Hello,
I have been looking at getting a treadmill to start my long overdue exercise routine.  I want to make sure I get one that will last and will hold up to at least 5 days a week routine.  I have seen them anywhere from 300-3000.  I just don't want it to end up being like some of my other machines, (a clothes hanger).  I have been leaning towards the nordictrack, the ifit program sounds like something that would keep me motivated and challenged, they have the new Jillian programs as well.  has anyone bought any of those?  Any help/feedback would be appreciated.

hmm...well i was looking into one lately as well for extra workout time at home and the Nordictrak's impressed me, also.  gave them a real good look, but as it turns out i have a used treadmill coming in for free from a relative who doesn't use it. so, i stopped looking

but...from what i saw those seem like a safe bet. i read the reviews and people LOVE them. and they always have a deal going on one or the other. usually a few. they just rotate them around. you have probably been to the site, but this one caught my eye for $1000 (on sale) when i was there:

its now back to $2000 but will drop again. it has a TV on it and a place to plug in your ipod / mp3 player. now "Out Of Stock" but when it returns...who knows? sale again, perhaps. and this next one is on sale now for  bit more

so, you get the idea. idk if the sale prices mean anything to you, but who doesn't like to save money? so if yo see something you like at regualr price, probably just wait a bit and it would be on sale in no time

idk anything about these things except i use one and love it. these would seem like good, well built, quality machines from the info and reviews. at least that was my impression from my brief research lately. i was looking at both of these. now i don't have to consdier one since i have one coming, but i think NordicTrack would have been my choice. just seems quality and durable

IMO

We have a Nordictrack, and I love it. it's comfortable when I'm running (I've had two knee surgeries), it has a wide variety of programs and add-ons, it's fairly quiet, and it has endured heavy use for a year now with no problems, We got it Sears this time last year when their floor models were marked down. It was $1299 for $400.
