Hey everyone. Trying to get involved in this board a little. I took a little lay off from working out and made my way back to the gym this week. Feel much better too!
Today I did 35 minutes of cardio spread between a stairclimber and eliptical machine. Went running yesterday (2.25) so I'm trying to stick to lower impact stuff today. Felt good to finish and not be draggin butt.

Posting to the daily exercise thread is a nice way to ease into the board.  Way to go on your exercise.  I love the stair climber!  About 3 steps and my HR is at about 190.  :)

Today was an INCREDIBLE day. My wife has done her longest run to date on the treadmill at 10 miles. Her longest run was 8 miles outside. We were scheduled to run a half marathon for her and a full marathon for me today, but the races were cancelled, so, I wanted to help my wife hit her first run of 13.1 miles. I tried to pace her at 11 minute miles. We ended up doing 13.5 miles in 2:31:23 and was such a great experience. What I have discovered is that running slower puts a much larger tax on my body than running faster and I am more sore than my 17 miler the other day. Anyways, the soreness is worth the incredible experience to help my wife reach this great milestone. What an awesome day!!!

Dan,
I agree with the soreness.  I have done a 2:03 half and a 2:45 half.  I felt much worse after the 2:45 half than the 2:03.  It wasn't even close.

You're killing me Dan!  Alisica and I are wanting to do 13.1 in 2:30.  That pace would be a big improvement for us at this point.  Like the old saying goes; one man's trash is another man's treasure.

I did a 2.8 mile run outside then did arms & core at the gym and a 20 minute cool down on the walk/jog stride eliptical thing (I think that's the official name they give it at the Y as well).

I went and "played" in the swimming pool for an hour, then came home and did a two mile run. Sunday is a rest day, but will try and get in a short bike ride.
