Hi I am 54, will be 55 in may. I had the lapband surgery in Dec. /09. I started out at 204 and am down to 160 now. I would like to get down to 135 but my doctor has set my goal at 150, so anything past that will be gravy. I have 3 children and three grand-children, all of whom live close by and are a blessing to us. I live in canada. I too would like to have a lap band friend. Hope to hear from you. Tah tah

I am on the road to WLS, I have a few more appointments then a Nutritional class to attend before all my documentation is sent to the insurance company. I am looking for people who are on the same road as I or had the surgery living in my area. Me and my husband don't get out much. I'm considering starting a walking group this summer so we can support each other, even possibly go bowling, movies or out to eat...build a friendship.
Hello I am looking for people who live in the Warren and Center Line area who are preparing for weight loss surgery or had the surgery. Possibly you are having it at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital on E. 10 Mile in Center Line or you had it there. I am preparing for surgery and even though I don't have my exact date as of yet I would like to keep in touch with others that are like me or was like me. Serious replies only please, maybe this summer we could form a walking group and just support each other through our journey of getting healthy.

I am definitely much older than you, I am 44 but I also live in Murfreesboro. I would love to find someone to take some Zumba classes with. My schedule is pretty hectic with work but I have weekends off. I have only scrapebooked once but enjoyed it but I love crafts. I really enjoy painting pottery. I am new to the area and would love to make some female friends to hang out with.
I agree that everyone needs a support system. I am lucky and have a very supportive hubby and son (I have a daughter but she is in college in GA). Let me know if you would be interested in meeting. Maybe we could go paint some pottery this weekend and say HI or just go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby (I love those places)
