Welcome to the board. This is a great place we all understand each other. I too have low blood sugars and it is awful. Some day I end up taking 6 gloucose tabs through out the days. I hate low blood sugars !!!!
Keep us informed what you find out.

Thank you for your encouragement.   I am waiting now for them to schedule a hearing with a judge.

I will let you know how things turn out.

Topic: Hello
Do you have room for a newbie?  I went to my first rhuematology appointment last week.  They of course are ruling out RA, although the Dr said that it is highly unlikely that I have RA.  I have to go have a sleep study and go back in one month to review the lab work and xrays of knees, feet and hands.  Then I guess I'm off with an "official" dx of FM?  I also have had hypoglycemia since bypass, which affects me only about once per day and I regulate with a monitor and glucose tabs.

Do any of you out there use a special diet for FM?  I've been reading online about FM and hypoglycemia.  I've been reading about controlling with diet, but our WLS throws another wrench in the mix.

I live in a rural area where access to support groups is about a 2.5 hour drive away, where my doc is.  I recently moved here from the Minneapolis area, and I guess now I'm feeling like maybe it wasn't such a good idea.

Anyway...Hello

I maybe a little late replying, but in Idaho I applied for ssi and ssd due to fibro/ migraines/ head aches. It almost took a hearing with a judge but lawer had all my medicale papers and sent them in to a judge and he approved me with out seeing me. I lucked out there I guess, but it still went to a judge and all, 1.5 years of waiting and fighting for it. Keep the faith. If you can't work, then don't. We are the only ones who know our pains and struggles, so keep the faith, it will happen. Good luck and keep us up on it ok? thanks,
Tammi

I am sorry to hear of all that is going on with you. The pain outer and inward can really mess with us. I to struggle to not allow things to over come me. I have allot to undo. I am feeling that things will soon turn around. Or so I hope that they will.

I'm 2 years out and fighting to make sure I don't gain any weight because of being depressed and can't excerise.  Started walking a week ago and I hurt all over and now I need to start all over. The hurt and pain is driving me crazy and the stress of both parent ill and brother dieing of pancreas cancer. And he didn't want us to see him in the last 2 years. Some of the stress was not being able to see him.
I hope you can get a handle on things I'm working hard I only wear jeans, it keep you true. My 10's are getting to small and I need an 8.

Topic: Health Tracker Update: Meals and Reports

Last week we released two major updates. First was the public release of OH Groups where any ObesityHelp member can now create their own Group. Second was the addition of Activity Tracking to Health Tracker, which provides a robust and easy to use tool to track and monitor your exercise and activity. Today we have added My Meals and an Activity vs. Weight Loss Report to Health Tracker.

My Meals

My Meals allows you to group and store multiple food and beverage items as a custom meal that can be used over and over again. If you have meals that you eat on a regular basis, you will no longer need to log each food item individually.

To access My Meals, go to your Health Tracker in My OH and click on the Nutrition tab. You will see My Meals listed under Nutrition.
Creating a new meal works similar to your Food Log. You can search for food items on the right and add the foods to the meal on the left. A Calorie Breakdown chart and Nutrient Summary Label are also available for each meal.

Once a meal is created you can add that meal to your Food Log from My Meals by clicking "i had this" or you can search for the meal from your Food Log.
When searching for a meal to add to your Food Log, all meals will be returned when "My Foods" is selected in search. So, to "drill down" on meals that you have created, select to only show "My Foods." When a new meal is created it may require up to 30 minutes for that meal to be indexed and become searchable.

Activity vs. Weight Loss Report

Adding to the Macronutrient and Export Reports previously available, there is now an Activity vs. Weight Loss Report. This report will allow to compare Average Time in Activity vs Weight over time, providing you with further insight into what impact physical activity as on weight loss and weight loss maintenance. In Health Tracker, click Reports and then select Activity vs. Weight Loss.

We hope these additions to Health Track reduce the time required to log your daily food intake and makes it easier to view how physical activity impacts your weight.

Create your first meal now!

I am glad to hear you are willing to at least try the patch.  It is called Duragesic Fentanyl patch.  The people that say the patch didn't work for them probably don't realize it takes about 10 hrs for the first patch to absorb into your skin.  So be patient. (but use a back up until then) But I guarantee you will find much relief.  Some people also find them hard to stick on the skin, but I put mine on my chest, like under my bra area or tank top area or on my hip side. If it doesn't stick after a shower or it itches after a shower, I take it off and put it to a new area with surgical tape.  It works great.  If I like this patch, it must be good.  I am very picky.   The doses come in different mcg, so it starts at 12 mcg and goes up.  Do a little research on them before you go to the doctor, so you can backup your argument.  LOL  You don't have to put the patch where the pain is.  It will distribute all over thru the skin.  Please let us know if you were able to get them.  Also the Norco works well with this patch for me.  Only if needed, for pain in hips usually.  Not the Fibro pain with the flu like pain.  Best wishes and I really hope you get some relief.  Kristy
