Thank you so much for your support. I did go to the emergency room on friday the 18th my blood pressure was 160/115, my potissum was at 2. The doctors were able to have the results from my cat scan faxed to them however no surgeon at the hospital would touch me. The Doctors decided that I had to contact Dr Chua he had me transported to his hospital I was admitted at 6:30pm and my surgery was preformed at 7:00pm. I had my bowel put back in place and my hernia removed. For the first time since having the DS surgery I finally feel like myself again. It looks like I gained some weight I have been so focused on getting better now I need to know how do I start losing weight now please help me.

Oh honey, please don't worry about losing weight right now! Your body has been through the wringer, and your main focus right now needs to be healing. That 5 pounds is jus****er retention from being in the hospital on IV fluids.

When you're recovered, then you can think about things like exercise to jump-start your weight loss.

You don't do ANYTHING about "losing weight" right now. You focus on HEALING. The weight loss will come in good time.

I believe, Tasha, that one or two people have contacted you about being your "angels," right? It would be awfully nice if you would please respond to one of them and make a contact. We have been living in terror for your safety here for days, wondering if you were dead or alive. If you want to come on here and post about life or death emergencies, we WANT to be here for you and help where we can. But dang, the stress of worrying about such horribly urgent issues from such a place of powerless as the other end of a computer, when we don't know your name or ANYTHING about you, is truly painful.

Of course you don't want to put your real contact information out here where just anyone can see it. And nobody can force you to do anything. Please don't misunderstand me here. I am not making any demands of any kind. But if you go back through this board, you would see that multiple threads were started over the past few days asking if anyone had heard from you. We have been genuinely afraid for you.

Please, would you consider taking up one of the offers to be your angel? That way, if something else happens to you, we can know how you're doing and get help to you if it is within our power to do so. Many of us like to help folks in 3d when we can. This is not just an anonymous place, separate from the rest of life. It's a for real support group, just as if we met in your town.

I fervently hope this is the last of your problems and that everything looks up from here. Don't worry about your weight. That will sort itself out as you heal and become able to nourish yourself appropriately.

So glad that they got you in and took care of the problem(s).  Everyone was so concerned for you.  As far as losing, I think that a lot of the gain may be do to IV fluids, etc.  Did your doctor give you an idea what you should be eating?  Liquids?  Mushies?  I'd take things slow, get your water in and follow his advice.
