This will be my last weekly weigh in for a while.  I've been getting really obsessed about the number on the scale and it's turning me into a weepy, crying fool and I also find that I am using this thread to compare myself to others which is also not helping my psychologically.

After today, I will only be weighing myself on the monthly anniversaries of my surgery.  In the meantime I need to really start exercising regularly.  That will help increase the weight loss (I hope).  I don't know why I am bumming so much...in the past 9.5 weeks I have lost 59 lbs. which I think is fantastic.  I just don't understand why in the last 5 weeks I have only lost 12 pounds.  I thought that newly post-op patients were supposed to average better than 1-3lbs. per week.  I get so mad...I could have done this on Weigh****chers (of course, I probably would have quit before now so I'm just talking about the amount of weekly weight loss, not the actual total weight lost).

ANYWAY...here are the numbers....

Weight at start of liquid diet:  465
Weight on surgery date:  430
Last week:  408
This week:  406
Last week's weight loss:  2lbs.
Total weight loss:  59 lbs.

I usually don't post a lot, but I'm around lol.  Had a great weekend spending time with my sweetie and daughter.  My eating has been out of control!  I  tried to eat everything under the sun, so I was dreading the scale, but here goes.

Surgery Weight: 376

Last  Week: 201

Today: 197....wonder how that happened

Lowest weight ever post-WLS was 188...shooting for my goal of 165.

I'm back, and all in one piece! I'll post a race report later but wanted to check in with everyone first. Thanks for putting the scale out there.

No lose for me this week - you would think that after running a 50 mile/12 hour race I would of lost a few pounds but nope, I stayed the same. Typical for my body. On top of that, I didn't even eat that much - my stomach was a mess during and after the race so food has not been my friend. Although today I am more than making up for it - I'm starving! I'm giving myself one more day of eating whatever I want, then I'm going back to my tried and true daily eating. I still need to lose these 10 pounds and plan on working hard on it now that no more races are lurking in the horizon.

surgery weight: 371
last week's weight: 181
this week's weight: 181

Sounds like you had a great weekend - I plan on doing lots of relaxing this weekend too!

Hi Ladies,

I was a little worried today about the scale.  I have been so busy with work the last week that I didn't exercise nearly as much as I should have.  I did take my niece and nephew to the local fair last Thursday, so I walked alot that afternoon.

Here's the numbers:

starting wt:  344#
last week:  274.4#
this week:  272.8#

    lost this week:  1.6#
    total lost:  71.2
