Hi everyone. If you feel like posting your food choices for the next three days, this is the place to do it! I hope you have a great Friday and a good weekend! Any plans?
Me, tomorrow I am taking some tests for a second job (online) and also getting some cleaning done. Saturday we have some plans with friends, if they don't stand us up or my ear isn't too troublesome. Sunday, de nada. I may go see Mama Mia by myself. I don't know why I want to see it, but I do. I will not question it :)
Take care everyone! I'll post as the days go by. Friday will consist of
B - Click protein shake made with 16oz mootopia (300cal, 40g protein and apparently a sure-fire way to make sure I go to the bathroom
)
S - lemon non-fat yogurt (I am seriously having a lemon craze lately, its completely out of hand)
L - leftover chicken tortilla soup with queso fresco
S - banana
D - lemon tea chicken with tomato and zucchini, on a bed of baby spinach
S - almond biscotti with almond vanilla tea (I bought 2 biscotti as treats for myself and plan to have one tomorrow and one a few days later)
This is a lot of food and I probably won't eat it all, but I don't know. I'm back to being hungry again. This process is so confusing!

Not sure what we have planned for the weekend, I'm sure it will involve continued work on the downstairs bathroom. We have been drywalling/sanding/drywalling (rinse, repeat) for three days now. Ugh. I just want my sister out of the upstairs bathroom, she is a SLOB. Not only that, she sheds so much hair I'm surprised she has any left on her head.
I have to take my car to the shop tomorrow, so I'll be drinking vending machine coffee while I'm waiting. I plan to make a tasty looking casserole out of the Taste of Home magazine that looks packed with protein (meat and cheese). Plus it gives me something to do with the whole wheat penne pasta I bought.
I'll take protein drinks with me to the car dealer, so at least I know what I'll be eating for breakfast tomorrow!
Have fun and hope your ear is behaving itself.

Hi all!
I'm not sure exactly what my weekend food plans are. Yesterday, I ended up trying ground beef. I was going to wait until I wasn't at work, but cir****tances led me to do otherwise. It stayed down well and I actually feel a TON better because for the first time in 9 weeks I got a really good amount of protein in (remember I'm not allowed to use protein supplements through my surgery center - it all has to come from food). I also had a raw carrot which went over well. So, although I don't know the specifics of my weekend diet it will include pork, some more beef (going to try non-ground and see how that goes), and raw vegetables (mainly, salad which I have been dying for). Wish me luck that it all agrees with me - I'm mostly a meat and veggie type of gal and if these things go well I will almost all but eliminate carbs from my diet (and they have been creeping in lately). I think the increased protein levels will help the weight start to come off better too.

I'm hoping/planning to have a good weekend. Some of the drama in my life seems to be calming down, although it does still come back and smack me in the head occasionally when I'm not expecting it. Ah, emotions are such a complicated thing...
One of my roommates and I are going to a house party tomorrow. Some friends of ours have a party that starts Saturday around 1:00 p.m. and it ends Sunday afternoon when people finally crawl home. They have a great house w/ a pool with a big yard, and the weather is supposed to be nice. There will be a few people there that I know, but it'll be a lot of new people for me as well, which is something I'm looking forward to. Honestly, after all the chaos in my life during the past couple weeks, I just need to let my hair down and have a good time.
On Sunday, I'm planning to go the gym for strength training, but that may depend on just how much fun I have Saturday -
Anyway, here's my food plan for Friday - not sure what the rest of the weekend holds...
Breakfast: 1 c. 1% milk in my coffee, 1 packet Quaker Weight Control oatmeal
Snack #1: 1 c. lowfat cottage cheese, 4 tbsp. sugarfree preserves, 2 oz. blueberries, 2 oz. strawberries
Lunch: mushroom salad, chocolate fondue with fruit and probably a couple bites of pound cake or brownie or cheesecake (having lunch at The Melting Pot with a friend)
Snack #2: 1 c. cantaloupe
Snack #3: 1 slice whole-grain bread, 3 slices smoked turkey, 1 slice low-fat cheese, w/ wasabi/horseradish spread (new tasty find!)
[workout #1: probably going to the park to walk for an hour - weather has been lovely and I've been enjoying being outdoors instead of inside at the gym]
Dinner: unknown - maybe leftover steak w/ salad, maybe leftover catfish, maybe a burger and a beer...
Snack #4: ?? will depend on whether I have a beer w/ dinner

Sounds like a fun party! We went to the melting pot once - I really liked the cheddar fondue with beer in it. I wasn't crazy about the meat one - we had coq au vin, but I was definitely happy with the cheese fondue and the salad. Dessert I could go either way - it was good but I was expecting it all to be of higher quality for the price. I think it was our first anniversary that we went and we were near the bar - the bar tender wouldn't shut up, he conversed his way through our entire meal. Dude, its our anniversary, we'd like to talk to each other!
I've heard that this is usually a really fun party, so I'm hoping for a fun, relaxing day. After the drama I've had going on in my life the past couple weeks, this girl could just use some fun!!!
I've tried several of the cheese fondues and enjoyed them all. Cheese, bread, and veggies - what's not to like? I like the meat course, but prefer the ones that use broth for cooking instead of oil; just sits better with my tummy. I like the dessert fondue as well, in part because it's served with a variety of dippers, including fresh strawberries and banana, so I can have a little chocolate w/ the fruit and it's not too much sugar.
Chatty bartenders can be annoying, especially when what you want is a quiet evening with your partner -

If I get my Biology test done at work today (yes, I'm blessed to be able to take a little time to do school stuff @ work) I think we are going to see a movie tonight. Last weekend we saw Dark Knight and I still don't know what I think about it. The best part, IMO, was the two boats and the outcome of their ultimatum. Not going to ruin it for those who haven't seen it, but Jen knows what I'm talking about. Ledger did a great job and I'm sad that he's gone.
Ah, and I get my new stainless steel fridge tomorrow. Now I have all matching appliances in my kitchen (except for the hood), new counter tops and a new sink. I consider it a worthwhile expense for my biggest investment! I live in a single family unit townhome. It's not large, but has a garage and 3/2 and a huge backyard with a screened in porch and an 8' fire pit in the back yard. I like it, but there's a lot of rentals that have popped up in the neighborhood in the last 2 years. Back to the fridge, I just need someone to hook up the ice/water dispenser. I'm so excited!
After Jen's lemon tea chicken yesterday i don't know what will top it for the week! there are leftovers but I doubt we'll eat it tonight.
Tomorrow is Biology for 6 hours (UGH) and I'm not sure what our plans are afterwards. And Sunday, who knows. We don't plan out our weekends at all most of the time. I've rambled enough.
today.
b - sbd high protein cereal bar
s- 1.5 oz virginia baked ham and smoked gyuere cheese (that is the creamiest harder cheese I've ever eaten - so good)
L- don't feel like eating so I'm going to have a protein shake for lunch
D - hmmmm..... I feel like seafood is calling my name. We have the best seafood market with the freshest seafood for miles. Have you ever walked into a seafood market and is smells like nasty fish. Joe Patti's seafood market just smells like the ocean. It's so clean. I love that place.
Maybe some blue crabs or boiled shrimp. Whatever looks good is what I'm going to buy!
Ya'll have a great weekend and stay cool out there!

Saturday
B - 16oz mootopia, 1 packet carnation instant breakfast
L - a lot of edamame, some wonton soup broth, and 2 fortune cookies
S - a little bit of chocolate at the movies (a handful of M&Ms)
D - leftover chicken and veggie soup with cheese (tortilla soup, minus the tortillas)
S - 16oz mootopia
We went out with friends to lunch at an asian place. I'm eating a lot of asian lately! Then we saw Step Brother, which was surprisingly funny and not-surprisingly stupid. I laughed a lot though. I LOVED Anchorman, HATED Talledega Nights, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was the funniest thing Will Ferrell has done in a long time. I enjoyed it, so that works for me :)
