Good morning.  Well, morning anyway.

Question - at what age are you supposed to out grow ear infections?

Every time I take up swimming again, I end up stopping after the first ear infection.  Last year it was a doozy that had half my face swollen.  Here's hoping this one isn't as bad!  I always got them as a kid, but aren't you supposed to outgrown this non-sense?

Here's my food plan -

B - cottage cheese and pineapple

S - 16oz mootopia

L - spinach salad with strawberries, walnuts, and scallion w/ low fat walnut raspberry dressing

D - lemon tea chicken with zucchini and tomatoes

S - some kind of fruit, probably another New Zealand clementine - I have to make a produce run at the store today

Its raining here, the remnants of hurricane Dolly.

Have a good one!

I have and probably always will get ear infections after swimming. It sucks, I hate ear aches!  My Mom is 70 and is still having ear problems and infections. They are thinking of putting tubes in her ears like they do babies. I now where childrens ear plugs when swimming to avoid ear problems.

Today's plan - Hope it works I've been grazing for 2 days, always feeling hungry! I hate these days!!

Pre B - SF Brown Sugar cinnamon latte

B - cottage cheese, Splenda peaches, and 1 piece turkey jerky

S - SF NF Carmel latte, lots of hot tea (I'm cold)

L - Italian Bean Salad, banana

S - turkey jerky, dried edamame

D - chicken/apple sausage in marinara sauce with cheese, will probably eat some pasta I'm fixing hubby.

S -  sliced mangos

Sorry to hear about the ear infection.  I never had ear trouble as a kid and then back in the mid-90s, I had ear infections off and on for over a year.  Drove me crazy, particularly because my PCP at the time had no idea why I kept getting them.  My niece gets them from swimming, also.  Maybe waterproof ear plugs would help, I've seen people wear them in the pool.  Please start feeling better soon!

I watched NBC News night before last and the reporter was talking about Dolly (this was before she hit land).  He said, "In San Antonio, buses are ready to evacuate residents."  Say what?  I have only been to San Antonio once, but I'm pretty sure San Antonio is inland.    I figured the reporter meant that the buses were ready to go down to South Padre Island, but he was lazy in how he said it.

Lemon tea chicken?  Please post the recipe when you feel better.

I don't know what I'm eating today.  I bought some tasty salmon for dinner, but I'm thinking of eating one of the filets for lunch, which means I need to do to the store and get another one for dinner.  Either that, or I'll go to the store and get fixings for a Big Azz shrimp salad.

So far today, I've had a 24 oz bottle of water and a handful of vitamins.  I'll post the rest later.

Sorry about the ear infection - I used to get them frequently as a kid when we had a pool, but I don't swim much these days so haven't had one in years.  I hope this one clears up quickly for you.

My anxious belly is finally calming down a little - passage of time is a good thing.  Here's my food plan for the day:

Breakfast:  1 c. 1% milk in my coffee, 1 packet Quaker Weight Control oatmeal

Snack #1:  1 c. lowfat cottage cheese, 4 tbsp. sugarfree preserves, 1 oz. blueberries, 2.5 oz. strawberries

[workout #1:  45 minutes walking outdoors - it's gorgeous and I couldn't bear to be inside at the gym]

Lunch:  Lean Cuisine salmon w/ basil and orzo pasta, small banana

Snack #3:  7 oz. Fage 2% yogurt, 1/4 c. Bob's Red Mill Mueslix, 2 oz. blueberries, 2 oz. strawberries

Snack #4:  1 slice whole-grain bread, 3 slices smoked turkey, 1 slice low-fat cheese, w/ wasabi/horseradish spread (new tasty find!)

[workout #2:  25-35 minutes alternating walking/jogging - again, weather is just too nice to be indoors at the gym!!!]

Dinner:  unknown - probably steak and salad

Snack #5:  Klondike 100 calorie fudge bar
