Ow! @*#&$! Ow!
In an effort to force this prolonged plateau of mine to shift, I did two aquacise classes today plus 20 minutes of water jogging. Keep in mind that these aqua classes are in the warm water therapy pool and at age 50.7, I'm the youngest attendee by several decades. We're not talking killer aerobics here.
I felt really good in the pool and enjoyed the exercise. My plan was to go again tonight and take the evening class. However, my knee is shrieking because I've obviously become reacquainted with some obscure knee muscle I don't use in treadmill walking.
It hurts like a son-of-a-gun and I want to whine about it. Thanks for listening!
Oh, and I think I'll have to miss the evening class tonight. AARGH.

I live in Lakewood just over 470 from Morrison, so I go to Whitlock Rec Center (City of Lakewood), which has a warm water therapy pool. It's about a 15 minute drive for me (unless Kipling has traffic, then Lord knows how long it will take to get there).
I'm pretty sure you don't want to come all the way over from Aurora just to exercise! I took a quick glance at Aurora's Rec page online, and it looks like they offer different aquacise classes at the Beck, Ftizsimmons, and Utah pools in Aurora. It looks like the Beck pool is a warmer water pool (if you can call 86 degrees warm!) and they teach Aqua Arthritis there.

Kix,
Sorry to hear about your knee. That is especially a bummer when you're trying to step up your exercise. I also love aqua aerobics. For me, when my back is hurting I find that doing the exercises in the deeper water helps because I'm supporting even less of my weight. I still get a good work out though. I'm not sure if you have the option of going to a deeper end of the pool, but if you do, it might be worth a shot.
