I've always liked fractions - they were the most fun part of math, and very handy as a chemistry major.

I hope everyone is well and you have exciting weekend plans.  I am not well, I am still sick to my Thundercles

I'm awake because I went grocery shopping at 6am - I was feeling crappy anyway, just laying there, so I figured I'd get up and get something done.  Only problem - hard to buy food when you are nauseas.  I still managed to come out of there spending too much (geez groceries cost a fortune!) but other than the croissants I made good choices and stuck to the outer limits of the store, except for canned foods.  I cannot live without canned beans.  Cheap, easy, tasty, and good for you.

My food plan consists of eating whatever appeals to me, if anything at all ever appeals to me ever again.

We are meeting some friends this evening at the grounds of an art museum so I can take family portraits.  Then we are going out for dinner, provided I haven't decided I feel dead yet.  I am thinking it will be mexican because if I am going to drive all the way down there I want to go to my favorite Mexican restaurant.  If so, I will order Chile en Nogada.  Its a roasted poblano pepper stuffed with slow roasted minced pork, walnuts, and raisins, with a walnut cream sauce on top.  Its served with a green salad that has this crazy delicious chili vinegrette, and it actually sounds pretty good right now.  This restaurant has standard mexican fare, but specializes in food from southern mexico and central america - which frankly has major yum factor.   I've had the dish once since surgery and it was just the right size to finish as long as I didn't indulge in tortilla chips or tortillas or anything else.  I was afraid I'd dump from it but nope, it was delish.

So what about you?  Any plans?  What are you eating today?

Sorry to hear your still not feeling well Jenn. That dish you talked about sounds wonderful!

We have no plans for the weekend, except resting. These 3 days back at work have worn me out, and I haven't even been that busy. Guess my body is telling me something.

I totally agree about not living without beans, I put them in everything I can!

Pre B - SF NF Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte

B - ham, cheese, triscuits

S - peanut butter crackers

L - shrimp/edemame/veggie soup, maybe some melon

S - 1 slice each turkey and Fontina cheese

D - took out chicken breast, will probably throw it on the bbq, veggies

S - ? no clue

Hmm,  I'm a Math Frac kinda girl with the calculator!

I've got to finish Biology homework and fine-tune my research paper this weekend.   But I'm going to get some entertainment in there somehow.  Last weekend was all school stuff and I need a distraction!

B - Twisted Bar
S-97% FF beef jerky
L-Grilled chicken sandwich from Whataburger - no bun / NSA applesauce
D - Grilled turkey tenderloin and grilled veggies

I found a new treat yesterday at WalMart - they were NSA Bunny bars - raspberry ice cream covered in a thin layer of chocolate.  100 calories and it really is good for that ice cream craving.

I dropped two pounds since monday and my ankles are really swollen. I've been drinking around 90 oz of water.  I think the beef jerky is causing me to retain water.  Who knows.

Hope your pouch feels better soon.  enjoy that awesome mexican tonight!

Kathy - what is a twisted bar?  I've noticied it's your breakfast of choice lately.

It's a protein bar that I found at Target on the end of a rack about 30% off.  They are like a candy bar without all the carbs.  Pretzel, caramel, peanut butter nougat...190 cals 20 g carbs I think 9g fat and 15 g protein.  It's almost too filling, but I manage it.  Once they are gone, I'll go back to my SBD (south beach diet) high protein cereal bars.  But it's been a yummy diversion.
