YIKES!  I'm now going in on the 24th instead of the 29th!  My doc had to go out of town on the evening of the 29th and she didn't want to leave her freshly operated on patients so soon after operating on them. (?) Anyway, everything is in high gear now!   I'm kinda sad about not having to do the pre-op diet for those days, yeah right, not !! This sucks, i'm hungry!! and that's not good, I don't do hungry....that's what got me here.  agh!   okay, I'll focus and keep my eyes on the prize..
I'm going up Monday for my pre-op appt.  then we'll leave on Wednesday night and stay over, I'm first in line Thursday so I have to be there at 6:30!!  it's all so exciting,  I can't wait....!!

TTFN !!

When I had my surgery, I had to wait for my surgeon to come back from a bariatric conference and his vacation because he figured I'd have tons of complications due to my wonky health status pre-op and he didn't want to leave me unattended.  (How's that for a run-on sentence?)  All my pals from WLS class had their surgeries in June and I had to wait until August.  August turned out to be better for me, anyway.

First in line is a good thing.  I was third in line and #2 (all 3 of us were from the same WLS class) had complications, so I was 1.5 hours late getting in to surgery.  Mine went like a dream, and I think even the surgeon was surprised it went so well.  He thought mine would have problems, and I had none at all.  Woo!

Here's a useless tidbit for you:  I went to high school in Utah, and July 24th is Pioneer Day, an important state holiday.  Think of yourself as a pioneer heading toward a new, exciting life.

How exciting!  Gives you less time to think, which I think is a good thing.  The fretting before my surgery was far worse than the actual surgery itself.  Good luck and keep us informed.

Better sooner than later!!!  You'll just get to the loser's bench a little earlier than originally anticipated.  Good luck getting your proverbial ducks in a row, and best wishes for an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery!!!
