Plastic surgery consult on Monday

that's very exciting news! i, too, lurk over at the plastics board. i've had one procedure done - last december i had a circumferential abdominoplasty with a vertical incision -- cut all the way around and straight up the front. i took a tape measure when it was over and there were 60 inches of incision! it had turned out wonderfully, in my opinion. i still have trouble believing the flatness of my stomach and all the bones i can see and feel! it hurt, i won't kid you. but it wasn't THAT bad. i just had vicodin for pain, and after a few days, tapered off that.
i'm having another procedure a week from tomorrow -- which has me a little nervous. thighs. the plastics board commentary on thighs is kinda scary -- i hope nothing busts open on me! the doctor drew rough lines on my legs last week to show me what he's removing and i then made a paper template based on the lines -- my god, the piece he's planning to cut out of each leg is 18 inches long and 10 inches wide at the very top and about 6 inches at the knee, then tapering to a point the last 2-3 inches. i look at this piece of paper and think OMG. but while nervous, i'm also thrilled and excited!
so, i'm hoping your consult goes well. it'll be fun to have someone on bmi over 50 doing plastics too!
