Plastic surgery consult on Monday

I have a consult with a plastic surgeon next Monday, 7/14, at 4:00 p.m.  I was originally planning to wait until January/February 2009 to start plastics.  However, my company is changing our health benefits next year and it will be much harder to get any plastics covered.  (Current plan pays for removal of excess skin from stomach and breasts with a maintained loss of 80 pounds.  New plan will only cover removal of excess skin with proof of medical necessity [rashes, infections, etc.].)   So off to the plastic surgeon I go - will provide an update after my appointment.  Wish me luck - watch out flat belly and perky girls, here I come!!!! Kellie (who's nervous, but excited too....)

Kellie, that's great that your insurance will cover some of your plastics and smart of you for moving up the date!  You'll probably lose 10-15 pounds of skin.

Thanks, Kathy.  I was so happy that my insurance covered removal of some of the excess skin, and was super bummed when I learned it was changing next year.  I'm thankful that I learned about the change in time to (hopefully) have surgery before the end of 2008.  I'm excited and nervous -

Oooh!  Exciting - if you don't do some before and after pictures and share them at least with me privately, I'm gonna fly up there and smack ya! Good luck at the docs!  I am so excited for ya! And dude, I want your old insurance!

I will take before and after pictures, and share them with my regular BMI Over 50 peeps.  I probably won't be comfortable enough to post them for everyone in the world to see, but I know there are sites where you can set up private albums, so I will definitely do that.

I'm excited and nervous!!!  I wish my insurance wasn't changing, but at least I should be able to get this done while it's still a covered procedure...

I'd like to keep my current insurance, but my employer is totally revamping their benefits next year.  I'll still have decent coverage, but we are definitely losing some of the bells and whistles we have today...

With all those fabulous muscles you have hiding under the skin from your rigorous execise routines, you are going to be SMOKIN' hot!!!!

I sure hope so - that's part of the reason I've been working so hard.  This girl has never been smokin' hot, but I'm looking forward to learning what that feels like

Kellie,

Congratulations.  Don't forget that there is a plastics board here at OH.  I got a lot of good information from there.

Please let us know how you make out.
