I BROKE OUT OF MY RUT.....
I did 8 miles on the stationary bike.... and my butt muscles doth complain.... that dang bike needs a wee bit wider seat.....

Good morning, Kix. I'm slacking off today and only going to the gym once (I know, I know, only I would consider that "slacking"....). I'm meeting friends for lunch at a local Thai place, so am looking forward to a catching up with them and eating some delicious Thai food...
I will go to the gym after work though - may do upper body strength training and 30-40 minutes of cardio, or may just do 60 minutes of cardio. Will depend on what I'm in the mood to do...
It's funny because I had gotten to the point where I really liked doing cardio and I did the strength training because I was supposed to. Now it's reversed - I'm really enjoying the strength training and doing the cardio because I'm supposed to! I think that's because I can actually see the results of the strength training when I look in the mirror, but the cardio health isn't as tangible even though I know it's real as well. Anyway, just an observation about my workout stuff -

Kix...still didn't sleep good last night, but I'm extremely upset with my husband so that's probably it.
Today:
30 minutes on elliptical - cardio program that keeps your heart rate at 80% by upping the level
10 minutes on recumband crosstrainer - had planned on longer, but my hand was bothering me
25 minutes on the recumbant bike at level 10
It really feels good to be back working out again.

Cardio day - I did a lot of strength training yesterday. I'm going to do 30-40min inteverals on the treadmill - 2.5mph and 4.0mph (10 and 5 min respectively, I can only jog for five minutes at a time or I shall die)
I was so dang tired after yesterdays workouts (the nice mellow ride I was going on? That turned into an all out race between the 4 of us for the entire 25 miles - my legs were so tired when I got home. Fun, but exhausting) I had to drag myself out of bed this morning. But I did get to the gym, did my one hour of weights. Now I'm falling asleep at my desk - if I could just sleep for a while, I would be good!
I went up Clear Creek Canyon and did some walking along the river (there's a paved path in Blackhawk that follows the river). I didn't do as much walking as I'd planned... a weird dude kept following me and while I'm not ordinarily a suspicious sort, I just had a weird vibe about the whole thing and elected to cut short my walk. I did spend the evening walking (mostly standing, but walking and pushing a heavy cart full of tile) at Home Depot while my sister had a meltdown.
Basically, my whole day just sucked donkey eggs, and I haven't a clue as to why, it just did.
