Gym is Open (Monday 7/7)

Whew!  Your workout wore me out just reading about it.  The bike ride sounds fun.  I went up toward Boulder and found an open space trail where I walked for two miles.  None of the steps were aerobic ones, according to my pedometer, but I still burned 275 calories and had a good time to boot.  It rained on me part of the way, though. Morning Kix, I was in the pool today - this was the 2nd time to lightly swim.  I went last week and could barely swim, but today, I did manage 20 minutes of lap swimming - which was a total of 8 full laps.  I could freestyle today, which I couldn't do last week, I could also do some breast stroke and some on my back, but not backstroke arms.   I am only allowed about 20 minutes per day of exercise - no weights, no lifting, no hard workouts, only walking, light stationary biking, and swimming.  I have developed a seroma, and am having it drained weekly.  My plastic surgeon wants me to move around lightly, and is taking a wait and see attitude to see if we have to put drains back in and have the pocket heal. It was nice to move around a bit today and be in the water and sunshine.

Ugh, I've heard about seromas.  Is it sloshing around, or just oozing obnoxiously?  I'm curious as to how your post-op recovery is going in terms of, do you feel pulled too tightly?  I dunno about being in the SoCal sunshine, wasn't it about eight billion degrees down there today? Kix

Hi Kix, 20 minute power walk this morning. 40 minutes of circuit and cardio this afternoon.  Just finished.  Sweating here!

Hi, Kix, it's a 2-a-day for me.  I did lower body strength training and core work at lunch.  I'm going back to the gym after work for 50-60 minutes of cardio -  Kellie
