4 lbs in a weeks is a very good week, early out or later.  Get used to it because you'll be cheering for a 4lb week soon.  After the first month or two I dropped to about 15lbs a month and stayed there until about month 5-6, then it started falling.  Now its 6-10lbs a month, and I'm very very happy to see a 4lb week :) As for body image, it took some serious size changing for me to see a difference, and I still sort of don't.  Its very odd, but it took about 100lbs before I changed sizes, which didn't help matters!!

I know you are right and I keep reminding myself of the remarkable progress you have made and that I have those same capabilities.  I also remind myself that I am only 8 weeks out and I have a long row to hoe .... I am going to start praying for patience!

Back to work today... ran downstairs at did the weigh in. Hi - 406 Surgery - 374 LW - 290 TW - 288 2lb loss Had a pretty good weekend.  Saw WALLE on Friday - 1st time to a movie theater since surgery.  I am a popcorn addict so I've been avoiding it.   Went to a funeral Sat but then went to some friends to play cards.  Had my "out of control" situation.  I brought some garlic/dill cheddar that I found and it tasted fantastic.  I had to ask my husband to remove it from the table because I couldn't stop eating it.  That was a little disappointing.  Sunday I visited family.  Didn't eat enough protein but I didn't eat bad food - just too much fruit and veggies, so my protein was low.  Exercise has been a bust.  I now have 2 knees bothering me.  The right one grinds anytime it moves.  The left one feels "off track".   I did get a pedometer.  Thanks for the recommendation Kix a few weeks back.  I'm trying to increase that number each day.   I too am trying to not get too frustrated over the extreme slowdown.  I'm only 4+ months out but I've really slowed down since I hit the 100 lb mark (70 since surgery).   BTW.. just how low will the boobs go??? Hope everyone had a good 4th. -Dawn

I am so afraid to find out the answer to the million dollar question. hehehehe  Not only does my big ol' belly bother me, but the fact that my boobs are resting right on top of the belly when I am standing does not help matters either!

Hate to tell you, but the boobs will go pretty low - I think mine are hanging out in Mexico right now.  Thank goodness for plastic surgeons -  Kellie

Dawn, I saw someone on the RNY board once post that our breasts turn in to chesticles after weight loss surgery.  Now if that doesn't give you a mental picture, I don't know what will.

Better late than never I guess. Its been a hectic week and although I did weigh in Monday (as I do every day) I never got a chance to post. The 4th weekend found me eating a little more than I should have, not getting in enough water and being a bit lazy, though it seemed I was running every minute. We had several social invites to attend, so it was a hectic but fun time. Scale wasn't too harsh on me.  I am THRILLED to be in the "60's"  Yaaahhhhhoooooooooooo.  HUGS to all.
