I am *still* at this plateau.  I have *no* idea why the weight isn't coming off and I'm really getting ticked!    I've been monitoring all of my food and usually don't eat more than 600 calories per day.  I guess that I could be getting more exercise.  I don't know what I will do if it doesn't start coming off soon...guess there's not a whole lot that I can do but wait it out.  Anyway, Start of liquid diet:  465 Surgery Weight:  430 Last week:  414 This week:  413 Total weight loss since 5/22 = 52lb (so not bad - still averaging more than 1lb. per day - it's just that I haven't really lost much since the 1st week after surgery - argh)!!!!!

Thanks for keeping this up Kellie. I had a busy and fun weekend as well - went hiking, biking, ATV'ing (where it rained the entire time and I was coated in mud - FUN!) and other fun stuff. I'm feeling it today though, I'm tired from all my fun.  But it was worth it I had a weird week weight wise - I did pretty good last week but still gained a pound by Thursday. It stayed pretty much the same until today, where I gained 4 pounds! I know it's some sort of water weight but it still freaked me out a bit - need to figure out why I've been gaining this week. I did ok food wise and exercised like crazy, so something else it going on. surgery weight: 371 last week's weight: 178 this week's weight: 183 Another week to work on it - I have 2 weeks to get down to the low 170's, not too sure if that will happen. The positive is I feel in better shape than I ever have and it isn't slowing me down too much - a good sign for my race!

Loved having the long weekend...on the 4th we headed to Greeley Colorado in the very very early hours to see the Greeley Stampede Parade at 9 am, visited with some family, then back home for fireworks at home.  Saturday was pretty quiet but hit the pool for 1000 yard swim and Sunday we hit the Renissaince Festival in Larkspur.  Lots of walking on uneven ground and it rained a bit but it was a lot of fun.  Now it's back to the real world....sigh. Surgery date:  440 (no preop diet required) Weight as of 6/27:  317 (Surgeon appointment) Today's weight:  311 Down 6 lbs. and down total of 129. Life is good! Jana

Hi, Sherry!!  Three pounds is great progress - lose that much each week for a year and you'll be down 156 pounds; am impressive feat!!!  Plus, early out those 3-pound weeks are sometimes followed by 6-7 pound weeks, so just try to be patient -  Kellie

Body image issues are a challeng for us all; I couldn't see a change in my body until I'd lost over 100 pounds.  And finding clothes was a huge chore - something that should have been fun (buying smaller clothes!) turned out to be super hard because of the way my body was shaped.  So some sympathy coming your way on that one.   Don't sweat the 4-pound week - it just happens sometimes and, BTW, 4 pounds is nothing to sneeze at!!! You are making fabulous progress and will be in the century club before you know it!!! Kellie

Thank you for the encouraging words.  I have a close friend *****minds me that my gut didn't get this size overnight and so I shouldn't expect that I will lose it overnight.  I am a bright woman, I know this - but it just doesn't make it easier.
