Since I had nothing bu****er while I was traveling, I am slowing sucking down a Gladiator smoothie from Smoothie King.  That will probably be it for today, but at least it has 45 grams of protein.

Hey, perhaps you already discussed this somewhere and I missed it, but why just the water while you were traveling?   Kellie

I am still on liquids.  My doctor believes high BMI patients should stay on liquids for six months to make the most of the "honeymoon" period.  I planned to get Smoothie King while there, but it never worked out.

It really is not that hard given that I am not hungry, don't really have an appetite, anything thicker than water fills me right up, and I can fight the desires to taste.  Now, I am not promising I am going to go six months without eating but so far if I have put something in my mouth, it is strictly protein rich food - like that cheese melt dish I got from Eggface and I only eat once a day if I do eat.

No right now I wouldn't think it would be too hard.  I remember that feeling.  Tell me its not hard in another 2-3 months though, and I'll be amazed.  I'll admire the effort though, I know I couldn't do it.

Kudos to you on your commitment - I personally would have struggled with being on liquids that long, but it should really help maximize your weight loss during the "honeymoon" period.   If you do additional travel while you're still on liquids, I'd encourage you to find either some ready-to-drink protein drinks, or some protein powder that you can mix with either water or milk.  That way your body is still getting the basic stuff it needs, and you'll have energy to be active while you're out and about.  Kix uses the EAS ready-to-drink supplements, and others like the Nectar protein powders, which come in interesting, fruity flavors and can be mixed with water.  Me, I used No Sugar Added Carnation Instant Breakfast mixed w/ skim milk and additional non-fat powdered milk (for more protein) when I had to do liquids.  After surgery, it was the only thing I could tolerate!   Anyway, thanks for sharing the information about being on liquids for 6 months; it's an interesting approach and I look forward to hearing about how it works for you!   Kellie
