Anyone else a slowwww LOSER
Hi all
I am trying not to panic but,
in 4 months I have loss 50 pounds (yes I know be happy 4 that) of course I am but I want the most out of my rny 2/11/08. Inches are whopping off 6 or more all the way around (hips and waist) Seen my surg. Fri. he has adjusted my diet to no carbs at all and increased my protein from 80 grams to 100. Any other tips for quicker loss? 5 '11 360 cw

I too had lost about 50 pounds at 4 months out. I eat a balance diet of 30% fat, 30% carbs, and 40% protein daily-- and have sustained a loss of 182 pounds at 11 months. I wouldn't worry much.
You need carbs to make energy. I do eat high protein (80-100g a day) but also eat fruit and vegetables and whole grains.

Your surgeon and NUT should be your greatest source of advice but 50 pounds at 4 months was about where I was. Four months is usually a stalling point for most people or at least it was for me.
I'll agree that you do need carbs for energy. I stick to the rules and eat most of my protein first and then have some veggies. I don't eat potatoes, pasta or rice for the most part except for a bite. There's just no room for me!
Don't place too much emphasis on the scale numbers if you are losing inches that well. Try the suggestions your MD gave and see if it makes a difference. One thing that is common amongst us all.....we don't all lose at the same rate. We're all different! Congrats on the 50 lbs....more will come off...you'll see. HUGS Jeanine
