First Day Back to Work
I had my first WOW moment yesterday when I returned to work for the first time in 6 weeks and losing 50+ pounds!!!
I felt fantastic!! I could stand longer, walk quicker and in no pain. Prior to my surgery I could hardly stand still for more than a minute or so and I would limit the times I got up from my desk as I was in pain EVERY TIME I would get up from my chair.
Yesterday I got up as many times as I wanted to, walked with my head up and at a normal pace!! I felt so good. I haven't taken naps during the time I was off and yesterday did NOT wear me out. This was the first time that I really noticed some changes since my RNY surgery and it was huge.
Just wanted to let you all know as I know you can relate to what I have gone through.
Thanks for being here and have a great weekend!! I have more energy than I have had in several years and tonight I am going to see my 13 year old niece in a leading role at a summer play in the park tonight. (Something that I wouldn't have done 6 weeks ago!)
Woo Hoo! That is fantastic. I completely know what you're going through as being able to stand longer without pain is also the first thing that I've noticed since I've started my liquid diet. I purposefully go out of my way to stand and talk with people or shop or walk or do other things! Keep up the great work and have fun at the play.
