argh ... another surgery
I went for a follow up orthopedic appointment today for carpal tunnel and he wants to do surgery. We talked about a cortisone shot but it's temporary and I need to get this fixed while the Theatre is closed for renovation and now's the best time for that. So July 10, I'll have a little outpatient surgery to release these nerves that are being squished.
That will be the last of t hat type of surgery that I'll ever have to have since I had my right hand done 13 years ago!
No cardio for 1 week and no lifting for 4 weeks. Good time to switch up my workout routine.
Sorry about the need for another surgery, but at least the timing is good since the Theatre is closed for renovation. And 4 weeks for recovery doesn't sound too bad, especially if you can do some cardio after a week. Sounds like a good reason to do some walking outdoors if you ask me...
Hopefully you'll get some good relief from the surgery -
Kellie
I've dealt with the numbness for 13 years but the pins and needles have started in. It's odd that it's started since WLS. He mentioned vitamin deficiency could cause some neuropathy and it's the B's that do it, but I just had labs and everything was excellent. So...it's just my time again.
Oh, BTW, the doc was really cute! and he held my hands so tenderly...I'm swooning still!
I hate to say it but that's how I picked my GP! He was cute and I needed a new GP. My surgeon's partner was really cute too and single. They all flirt with me because they think I'll get them good seats to the shows. I just love attention especially from men!
I didn't know this doc was cute...it was just a referral. But the benny worked out great.
