Gym is Open (Tough Tuesday 6/17)
Sorry the gym is opening late this morning. I usually post late the night before (especially for our pal Karen, who exercises in the wee hours of the AM when only Dracula is out and about). My computer fan made a terrible noise last night, so I shut down the computer in case it was getting ready to explode! Seems fine today, so maybe it was just grumpy. The gym is open. I haven't been doing "formal" exercise lately, opting instead to be active outside. I really need the "formal" exercise, so back to the gym today. What did you do to move your body today? Kix
I'm doing a "two-fer" (as Kellie would say) today. I ran for 25 minutes this morning (I was going to run longer but my stomach just won't let me - it is happening a lot and it's getting kind of irritating) Then tonight I have a Bike Skills Clinic at the Olympic Training Center, so that will be 2 hours of biking stuff (I have no idea what we will be doing but it's led by one of the trainers to olympic cyclists so it could be very interesting)
that's it for me today - have fun at the gym!
You know, since you are doing more outside you should try orienteering - there's a great club in Colorado that has meets all the time. It's a great way to get outside, get some exercise and learn how to read topo maps. They have beginner levels that are mostly on trail and about 2 miles, so not too bad. You have to find a certain amount of controls within the course as you walk and that's where the map comes into play. There just happens to be a meet this weekend in Nederland that I'm doing - here's more info on the club - http://www.rmoc.org/content/view/30/1/ I did my first meet a few weeks ago and loved it - lots of fun people, many foreigners from all over. It's a big deal in Europe, especially the Nederlands.
Good morning, Kix, and welcome to Tuesday, which is yoga day for me. I'm really enjoying yoga - as with many things, only regret is that I didn't try it sooner!
Evening activity is up in the air. If the nice weather holds out, I'll go home and work in the yard (cut the grass, pull weeds, water the front yard, which is starting to green up from the recent topseeding, plus just tidy up in general). If it rains, I'll go to the gym. Personally, I'm hoping the nice weather holds out so I can go home and play in my yard!!! We'll see if Mother Nature cooperates...

I did an hour on the treadmill this morning (morning workout, wow) - I am trying to wake up earlier because Ryan's schedule is changing to 7:30-3:30 Friday, and I'd like to ease into it. This is going from our wake up at noon, go to sleep at 3am kind of thing so its going to be interesting.
Anyway, I walked kind of slow (2.5) because I was sleepy, but I walked for an hour and felt good. I was going to do some weight training but opted to go home instead.
