Hi peeples! Oh man I've been engrossed in a book lately - I'm almost done but I even dreamt about it last night.  Its called The Host, by Stephenie Meyer, and its one of the best books I've read in a long time.  Its only out in hardback, but I'd recommend it if you are looking for a good summer read.  Food.  Food food food.  I am kind of sick of thinking about food.  Do you ever have that?  I will probably have some carnation in a little while, and turkey and cheese for lunch with some avocado, or leftover bean and cheese enchiladas with some avocado and tomato.  Dinner.... I think I'm making ronzoni pasta and meat sauce with carrots, peppers, and onions and peas thrown in.  I'll eat the sauce with some parmesan, and maybe a few noodles.  And I'll have some fruit as snacks, an apricot or peach, some cherries, and maybe a banana.  Hope everyone has a good weekend, and a Happy Father's Day!

I used to share your love for books and just could not be anywhere without one.  I guess I had a child and that love had to go by the wayside.  I just don't have time to read anymore.  Between work, school, household responsibilities and exercising and church, I can't do it. We had some awesome stir fry last night.  I was a little worried about the sauce because it had sugar in it as one of the first ingredients.  It was sesame ginger lawry's marinating sauce.  I sauteed onions, garlic, bell pepper then added the chicken and cooked with a little of the sauce.  Then added broccoli, asparagus, carrots and snow peas (all frozen) and put the lid on the pan.  Oh, and I threw in a jalapeno from my plant on the patio.  Just the right heat.  It was soooo good and I thought there would be leftovers, but my son ate it which surprised me.  I didn't make any rice to go with it though.  Didn't need it. Today was SBD protein bar Then early lunch we had breakfast (we were famished after water aerobics)    2 organic eggs (they were so good and the yolks were orangy yellow)    2 slices of bacon    2 half-slices of 7 grain bread     now this bread was thick cut and it was fresh baked  and it was so good.  It was like eating 2 whole pieces but it was sooooo good.   I paid for that choice about 30 minutes later as the bread expanded in my stomach.  I was miserable. Dinner we are having grilled chicken.  I cut a whole chicken up the middle, dry rub it with spices and put it on the grill with a tin foil covered bricks to compress it.  It's so good and juicy. I'm also making guacamole and cutting up some vine ripened tomatoes. Tomorrow breakfast same old, same old Lunch...???? Dinner - prime rib, hari coverts, and fingerling potatoes Snack- the sweetest seedless watermelon I have ever eaten!
