A couple weeks ago, I mentioned that I use low-carb lawash wraps for sandwiches, but I couldn't recall the brand.  I finally found their website, and here's a link ->  http://www.lawash.com/Index.html If they aren't sold in your area, you can buy directly from the manufacturer by the case (it's $25 a case for 12 packages, which is a heck of a lot cheaper than I'm paying in the grocery store).  Accordingly to their website, the wraps freeze well, so you could buy a case and freeze them if you have room.   I like the wheat wraps.  Nutrition information is available at the website (basic information for 12" low-carb whole wheat Lawash is 70 calories, 0 fat, 11 carbs, 7 g. fiber, 7 g. protein).  Anyway, wanted to share this information in case anyone's interested.  Have a great day! I have an alternative that I've been eating for a while... I know the lawash are larger and for me don't get gummy in my tummy (LOL) so I can tolerate them, but I like the Mission Carb Balance whole wheat tortillas because of the boost that I get with them.  Here's the facts: Fajita Size Mission Carb Balance Whole Wheat Tortilla 6" Calories 80 Fat             2g Sat Fat       0 Trans Fat  0 Cholesterol 0 Sodium 240 Total Carb 12 Fiber 8g!!!! Sugars 0 Protein 3g The flour are about the same with 1 less gram of fiber.  Hmm I didn't know that...think I'll switch back to the flour ones! I make Eggfaces pizzas with these and we have carnitas a lot (slow cooked pork) and use them with chicken and beef too.   You can find them easily in Walmart but they are over $2.00 a package.  Healthy eating is soooo expensive!

I'll look for the Mission Carb Balance products at the grocery store.  I like the 6" tortillas for fajitas or hot grilled chicken strips with lettuce and cheese (sort of like a taco).   I love carnitas, but have never made it at home.  Is it easy???

Yes, they are similar to tortillas, but the low-carb versions have much lower calories/carbs than a similar sized tortilla, plus more fiber and protein that most tortillas.  Although Kathy mentioned a Mission Carb tortilla that's available in wheat, which has pretty good nutrition stats.

I have bought the Misson low carb wheat, but I can't handle 1/2 of one. Grouchy pouchy just doesn't seem to like startches still. Guess I was hoping these were a bit lighter or something!

I think the lavash is thinner than the Carb Balance tortillas.  I can handle the 6" ones very easy but I usually tear off about 1 inch because it's just too much.  I was buying the lavash until I saw the carb balance tortillas.  I was scared of them but they went down fine so now I eat the Carb Balance, get protein, and the all important fiber. If you have problems with tortillas, you may want to try the lavash because they are not as dense as the tortillas.
