Never heard of them but please be very careful if this is your first time trying it. I honestly would not make a habit out of smoothies without protein powder added, there just isn't enough good stuff in it for you, but that's me. Every time I eat it's with the thought "Protein first". Smoothe King makes a 45 gram protein Gladiator Smoothie that was talked about on here. I went to get one and while talking to the girl I learened that "some" of their fruit is natural, but that the strawberries of all things come packed in sugar. She said she read the ingredients while putting it away one day. You really have to ask lots of questions and explain to people that sugar will make you very sick. It gets them thinking.

That's what happened to me at a coffee shop here.  I explained that I couldn't have sugar that it made me sick but I wanted something cold and decaffinated.  I got one and was sick at the end of it.  I thought it was because it wasn't a low-fat option. The next time I went in, I got a smaller one, skinny version and I got half way through it and stomach cramps.  I gave it away. I went back again thinking they made it with regular syrup and not the SF syrup and asked them to double check and the girl told me the frozen mix was not sugar free.  No wonder I was getting sick.  Sometimes it doesn't matter what you tell people. They don't listen! I'm meeting a donor at this coffee shop tomorrow and he knows the owner.  I told him about my situation and he said he'd make sure the owner heard about it. You can never be careful enough.  Sometimes it's just better to make your own.  'Cept my smoothie machine broke and I can't find one like it to replace it.

Probably the best thing you could do. I'm proud of you for making that decision, I'm sure it was hard.
