Im so happy to have found you guys!
Your children are wonderful, mine range from 28yo to almost 4yo, the 3 oldest are girls the 2 youngest are boys, I also have 2 grandchildren a girl 7 and a boy 5, they live in Kansas City Mo, they moved there about a year ago, they are flying in to Seattle tomarrow for the first time in a year, Im so excited, I put off my surgery til after they go home.
Im hoping with them here I will be busy enough to stay on my preop liq diet. I see my doctor on Friday. Keep me up on how your process is going. Kim ps. I lived in Harvey Illinois in the 70's, my youngest son, a kinship adoption, was born in Dwight Illinois.
There are a lot of doctors *****quire a good faith effort by their patience to lose weight. Not mine. I ate myself sick about 1 month out and then really had no desire to eat much leading up to surgery. There are many of us who have had no complications at all and a few who have had some but have bounced back.
Welcome Kim!
My DR told me if I gained he would not do the surgery. That alone was enough to make me start working hard to reach my goal. I had one last night of pigging out before I started my 3 weeks liquid diet. (The DR required 2 weeks I decided to start early). It's not worth eating everything in sight before surgery because believe it or not you will get to eat it again if you choose too.
I made up my mind the day I was approved for this surgery that I would not fail, I would be a success and work my tool as best I could.
You can do this! It's all for a better you.
Best wishes as you begin your journey!
I'm sure there are people that gain pre-op, but my surgeon gave me a firm warning: If I showed up the day of surgery and had gained weight than he would cancel the surgery. I didn't fool around at all. I did the two week pre-op diet and knew the more I lost the better for him to move around my fatty liver. Good luck!
