Gym is Open (Toasty Tuesday) 6/10
We're looking at temps in the low 90s today, yow! I'll be doing my outdoor stuff early before the heat of the day conspires against me. I'm dogsitting the neighbor's cattle dog, and I'd like to take her for a walk, but I want to go to the gym first and do my cardio walking. Of course, I have my usual daily errands and chores, so we'll see what sort of activity I do today.
What fun things (or awful things, but good for the body?) did you do today?

Good Morning Kix!
This morning I relaxed some on the recumbent bike....
I lost track of the time (I know it was more than 30 mins) but did 7 miles on the strength training program at resistance 5.....
We got some cool winds and some brief showers yesterday evening to finally break up our heat wave..... of course neither of them stuck around for today, so it's back..... C'est le vie...

Yow is right - we were in the 90s over the weekend and on Monday, but it's cooled down to low 80s today and it's been raining this morning. Smart move to get your outdoor stuff done early before the heat becomes uncomfortable.
Cattle dog? What fun! I'm sure she'll enjoy the walk - woof.
Let's see, today's a yoga day for me at lunch. I'm still really enjoying yoga, and honestly look forward to this class. I like it so much that I'm trying to find another day where I can work another yoga session into my schedule!!! I'll do cardio after work - think I'm going to do a shorter interval workout. Harder workout, but I'm done in 40 minutes rather than 60 minutes. Good trade-off for me!

I went for a walk at lunch today - I'm still trying to recover from my Adventure Race Sunday so I'm taking it easy this week.
As for the Adventure Race? I totally bonked during the race - I was sick and exhausted in just the first hour and had a pretty difficult time walking, let alone running and biking. I was primarily dehydrated and no matter how much i drank i could not get over it. It was a tough race, but we did ok. We were within 5 minutes of the winners, although we missed some required checkpoints and got a time penalty, so that dropped us to 5th overall (out of 7).
That last mile I swore up and down that I wouldn't do another race, ever. Now, I want to go out there and prove to myself that I can do better. We'll see if my attitude keeps up with this upbeat demeanor

Day number three...DOWN! YEAY! I was committed again and am very happy with myself. I got in 30min on the treadmill again today. Tomorrow and the next night I have plans and won't be home in the evening so no exercise, but I'll check back in on Friday's "Gym is Open" post! :)
