I prefer equal as well. Splenda has never really gotten it for me. I use equal in my tea. Sure doesnt taste as good as real sugar, but, its tolerable.
> Splenda is a natural product.
You can't be serious!
Now, I think that sucralose is no better or worse than any other sweetener, but to call it "natural" is bizarre. It's a new chemical entity that has never existed in nature: a chlorinated disaccharide that is much sweeter than sugar and is minimally metabolized. Frankly, it's disturbingly similar to the chlorinated pesticides that you sprinkle around your house's foundation to kill termites!
Contrast this with aspartame, which is the methyl ester of a dipeptide of the two amino acids phenylalanine and aspartate; if it were present in more than milligram quantities, you could count it as part of your daily protein intake!

I liked what Alton Brown said, something akin to "Is Sucralose Sugar? Sure, in the same was that Frankenstein's Monster was human!"

I am not crazy about any of the artificial sweeteners, but will use products with sucralose (splenda) or sugar alcohols if I must. I prefer to use just a small amount of the real thing, or stevia sometmes, but its rather strong. The thing about splenda that makes it better IMO than sweet n'low or equal is that it doesn't cause a blood sugar spikes - splenda doesn't affect your insulin levels but your body reacts to the other sweeteners like it reacts to sugar. Taste-wise, they are all equally awful I think.
