Calorie Countdown - Migraine Monday, what are you eating?

Well, its my first honest to goodness migraine since surgery.  I used to have them a lot more when I had high blood pressure.  Not sure what set this one off but it started in the middle of the night.  I was hoping I wouldn't have them anymore but guess so.  Its almost one and I just got out of bed.  I've been laying there with frozen peas on my head for a few hours.  Ugh. As for food, I tried an Isopure for breakfast but the fruit punch one definitely is not for me.  It smells like cough syrup (although it may be the headache).  I am about to make the old standby mootopia and carnation.  I'll track and post what I actually eat later.  Eddie Izzard was hilarious, but we got home really late because of a traffic jam on 35.  I'm not sure what happened but they blocked off three lanes and had about 12 police cars, 2 ambulances, and a crime scene van.  Scary.  The regular 80 min drive took almost 4 hours and my tailbone was already killing me from the show, so I was pretty cranky.  Austin traffic is a pain in the butt.  No matter what time you go you will sit in traffic.  On road trips we like to leave at 2-3am in hopes that we'll hit Austin before traffic, nope.  If you go earlier, the bars are letting out and the drunk college kids are on the road.  If you go later, the 4am people trying to beat traffic are on the road.  People take books to read while they sit in traffic.  Its ridiculous (and they do have public transportation but so many people are just trying to get THROUGH Austin to somewhere else).  Only in Austin will you sit in traffic for 2 hours at 11pm on a Sunday night.  And thus concludes my rant.  Have a good day everyone!

Do you make your own Latte or purchase it from a coffee shop?  Each time I read that on your daily menu it sounds soooo yummy!

I always make my own - much less expensive!  I had a multitude of different SF syrup flavors but find myself reaching for my favorites each morning.

Sorry to hear of the migraine...I've never had one but I understand they are wicked, wicked, wicked! Hope you are feeling better soon!  Love the comment about frozen peas on your head...I had my wisdom teeth out when I was in college.  I woke up on the couch to one roommate saying to the other, "I don't know what happened....I came home and she was just crashed with a bag of frozen vegetables on her face.  I didn't even know she went to a party last night!!!!" LOL Today's eating: 6 oz. Dannon Light and Fit yogurt 1 string cheese Lunch:  1/3 C taco meat with cheese (Homemade with chilies, tomatoes, yummy!)               Low carb tortilla Dinner:  Probably the same as lunch Don't know what is happening...only somewhat spicy things are tasting good to me.  This weekend I basically lived on Wendy's chili.  Oh well..... Migraines suck so bad. I've had them since my early 20's. Imitrix shots are the only thing that seem to help, although now that I'm going thru the "change", the frequency is lessening. Thank goodness! I wonder if yours was a result of all the stress in the Austin drive yesterday on top of recovering from Boston? So often my migraines seem to be telling me to slow down. Take care. B - Vanilla Shake S - Orange Creame Shake L - Chicken Noodle Soup S - Banana shake D - Broiled salmon with grilled veggies S - Chocolate Pudding S - Chai Tea
