morbid obesity is a contagious disease!

I recently was listening to a friend yak off telling me how I need to lose weight again as if I don't know that. He starved himself to 5lbs at least that's what he looks like.anyhow he said morbidly obesity is a very contagious disease and looked at me with pity saying maybe they can vaccinate me like they do to dog cats I wanted to smack him so hard. he just doesn't get it, he believes I'm just lazy to lose weight! Maybe I'll show him my diet books exercise equipment records of diet pills. I'm gonna go ape!( my hubby and him are also friends)

His criticism doesn't seem very "friend"-ly.  Yes, we all have family and friends in our lives who are either not supportive or have their own opinions, but you should not be made to feel this way.  I would let him know what his boundaries are on this type of advice.  I would be incredibly insulted if someone suggested that I be vaccinated for my contagious disease.  I mean DAMN! I would suggest that your "friend" educate himself on obesity awareness and being more sensitive of his comments to you!  I'm a very blunt person, but still am respectful of others and what their issues are when I give unsolicited advice. Oh, and I would definately talk to hubby and see if he can get behind you on this!  He needs to let the friend know that comments like that made to his wife are unacceptable. Good luck dealing with this person.

Thank you I soon wil be able to limit my exposure to this person! my hubby agreed his comments were more than he could bare he was just too uneasy to speak to me about it(he's really sensitive when it comes to certain issues)

I've tried with him I've been very informitive Some people you can't get through to educate no matter how hard you try at least my hubby is educated on obesity and sensitive (he has moments too, that's when I get breakfast in bed)

Well, if it is contagious, threaten to pass it on to HIM! Idiot.

I did once and like the fool he is, blamed me for his weight gain(he drank beers a lot gee I wonder how he gained 30lbs ) at least he kept his distance for awhile guess I'll need to do it again!hee!hee!look out here I come!lol I was diagnosed hypothyroid recently how do you vaccinate for that. I agree he's an another idiot
