Thank You! I am home
I begin with a great big thank you! to all who kept me in their thoughts and prayers that past few days. As many of you know I was trying to justify my exhaustion with the changes of WLS; however, last Wednesday morning I knew something was not right and I called my dr's office. I was sent for blood test and obviously it was not right because they called and said I needed to get to the hospital ASAP. I was losing blood ... great amounts of blood ... and what I thought was just odd bowel movements because of the surgery was indeed BLOOD. See, I am a coumadin patient and my coumadin levels were at a toxic level and it was causing my internal suture sites to ooze blood. So four pints of blood and four pints of platelets later and it seems I am on the mend. I am so grateful to be home and hope that now I can really start this recovery business!
